Coaching - The Practicalities

Once you have discovered that Coaching is for you and have committed to working towards real and lasting change in your life, career or business it is time to make a decision as to how you want to go forward.  If you decide that working with Paul using eCoaching is for you then you will have a number of questions which we try to answer below:

What Are The Coaching Logistics?

The base eCoaching model Paul uses is on a 4 week cycle:

The first 3 weeks are based around emails with one lengthy email exchange where ideas and questions are exchanged, pondered upon and replied to. In between these sessions there can be shorter email exchanges about particular issues or to share achievements.

You take on as much homework/home play as you wish and most of the learning/growth/action takes place between the sessions as you apply or follow up on what we have discussed.

The fourth week is a 45 minute Instant Messenger or Private Internet Conference Room (a telephone coaching session can be arranged if this is preferred)

How Long Will I Receive Coaching For?

Generally we start with a 3 to 6 month period as this is the sort of period in which you can expect to see real and lasting change starting to happen.  Paul suggests that Clients stay with him for as long as they are getting real value from the coaching.  This could be anything from three to twelve months.  Although Paul has a number of clients he has been coaching for much longer.

What Does Coaching Provide?

This is different for each client that Paul works with.  Generally speaking the words that clients use to describe Coaching are accountability, direction, inspiration, focus, sounding board, challenge and support.  The aim normally is to work on a specific result that will make a real and lasting difference in your life.
